I’m packing; dancing around my apartment to music that ranges from Alabama Shakes to Drake to The Wombats; eating Hersheys Kisses and drinking a glass of wine; tossing Esquire, GQ, my moleskine, and a Chuck Klosterman book in my backpack… when I turn around and see I’ve spilled coffee on my inflatable bed.
(Home tomorrow! For the first time in a year!)
The other day, I was listening to Pandora at my internship (per usual) and “The World at Large” by Modest Mouse came up. I’ve heard the song several times before, but I’d never really listened to the lyrics. And as I heard them, essentially for the first time, I thought, ‘huh, a lot of these kind of fit me perfectly; thanks, universe, for bringing this my way.’
I move on to another day, to a whole new town with a whole new way … / I like songs about drifters, books about the same / they both seem to make me feel a little less insane
3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage… all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food ….into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films…..
= a trip of a lifetime.
Super cool video. This is a bit like the ‘Where the Hell is Matt?’ dancing ‘round the world series but more artistic, with angles and all that good stuff.
This series of videos has me grinning so hard. The Learn one is my favorite because the guy in them seems to be really savoring life, traveling the world and learning from different people about their cultures. Looks like one hell of a good time.
What a great video. Totally up Abroad View’s alley. Check it out.
love love love this
